多分このアルバムによってSMOGの知名度が多少あがったと思われる作品。前作のミニアルバムに引き続き、エレキギターによる楽曲が多く聴ける。サウンドコラージュはなりを潜め、バンドサウンドによる表現を確立したように思える。それにはJim O’Rourke（元GASTR dEL SOL）との出会いが大きく関わっていると思う（Jim O’RourkeはSMOGのファンらしい…）。
「Julius Caesar」よりも聴きやすくてメロディーもいい曲が揃っている。”Bathysphere”がシングルカットされていればアルバムセールスにも拍車が掛ったと思うんだけどなあ…。
