祝!! 初日本盤となった移籍第2弾アルバム。作風は「III」に立ち戻ってかなり洗練された印象を受ける作品になっている。やっぱりSUB POPだからスタジオや機材に少しお金かけられるようになったのかな。そうかもしれないけど、そこはインディー。今までのチープさをそのままにして傑作を創り出したように思える。

全体的にローファイやストレンジ・ポップな曲が多いがこの作品がその最後となった。この後、チープな音作りをメインとするプロジェクトがTHE FOLK IMPLOSION、バンドサウンドをメインとするsebadohとに分れていく。このアルバムも名曲揃いだ。特にシングルカットされた”Soul And Fire”はLou Barlow節といえる名曲。:-)
